Some of the factors expressed by the virus have been studied extensively regarding their impact on cellular transcription, mostly after overexpression of single proteins and little is known about the activity of cellular genes in the context of a productive adenovirus infection. Adenovirus infection by competing for common glycosaminoglycan receptors. Adenoviruses are responsible of acute respiratory infections in children and respiratory illnesses in civilian adults.
